Anna received her bachelors in Environmental Policy and Politics and Government from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. She is now pursuing a masters in public policy with a concentration in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy from the Humphrey School.
Anna grew up in Washburn, Wisconsin, a small town on Lake Superior. Her connection to the lake and the local community motivated her decision to enter the climate and environment field. She is particularly interested in energy policy, especially the equitable deployment of renewables. In her free time Anna enjoys swimming, cross country skiing, playing tennis, and testing out new recipes.
What is your favorite thing about research?
I love being able to dig into topics more deeply and be afforded the opportunity to let curiosity drive my work. I have found that all issues and topics are far more complicated than they appear at the surface, which makes research very rewarding!
What is your favorite season?
A good, snowy winter! I love the camaraderie of bundling up and enjoying the outdoors with friends and family. Some of my favorite memories are skiing through fresh snow or ice skating on small lakes.
Do you collect anything?
I love collecting postcards from places I go!
